ive just had it as im laying here watching tv, it only last for about 3 or 4 seconds and it goes when i kind of brace myself.
i get it every now and then when im relaxing, its not painful whatsoever, just feels like a fluttering butterfly in there.

is it palpitations?
Question Author
sara 3, no, its not palpitations, well it doesnt feel like that anyway, its just a quick fluttering thats all, no discomfort or pain or anything.
Could be an ectopic heartbeat.

I had all sorts of tests a couple of years ago for that sort of thing and that's what they said it was.

They said it was nothing to worry about, and it seems to have gone now.
Panic, that's where I was going! I also have an ectopic heartbeat, which isn't painful but sometimes a bit scary.

ringbolt, you should see your GP to be sure.

I cut out all caffeine, and increased my levels of exercise. However this may not be what improved it.
perhaps I shouldn't be such a lazy cow then..... !

ringbolt, see your GP :o)
Nice one.

Sorry Ringbolt.
I agree with Sara, if it persists and worries you, see your GP.
You will probably be referred for tests, but it helps put your mind at rest.
Get a blood test done for over active thyroid.

Or it just could be wind.
