Off in a strop.................although it will probably be painted as something more dignified.

Oh no marval, I need his medical expertise
Post your problem...............I'm sure advice will appear...........'somehow'..........
Question Author
Society - are you sqad? lol

Who upset him jackthehat?
Squad was a very useful contributor in the Medical Section and hopefully he will log on again soon to help those who need advice.
Who me? Nooo... I believe Sqad is male, I'm female and wouldn't even know how to lie to give answers like Sqad did.
It was over in 'Chatterbank' and it has been argued about quite whom gave him the final shove, however, he picked up his football and stomped off home..........

There are folks who believe that he watches us from afar....and he is certainly in e-mail or msn-type contact with some of the regular contributors on AB.

Post your question...........and we shall see if anything magically appears.....:o)
A few CAJ.....he got fed up.

Ok, the problem is this...

My boyfriend had earache and a clear discharge from his right ear which started last Wednesday. On Friday he was given antibiotics (Amoxycillin) and sent home. Over the weekend the discharge has turned green, the earache got worse and this morning he said the area around his ear is swollen up. He seems very tired too. Is this normal? How long will it take for the antibiotics to work? Any help on making it get better sooner as I feel so sorry for him :(
I dont know about useful, he told someone with a thyroid disorder to double their dose. very dangerous advice....
Sqad was banned after the 27th ABer died following his misdiagnoses. Honestly, you told him you'd severed an artery and he'd tell you to take an aspirin and call him in the morning.
Clearly the Antibiotic isn't working and boyfriend need to take something stronger. He should see his GP.

I liked sqad, he's helped me out on a few occassions. His advice is brilliant....please sqad if you're reading could you help me out with this? Otherwise I will have to deal with a sad, poorly 30 year old man by myself and god knows what will happen if I try to mix up some magic potion to fix him! x
your boyfriend should go back to the doctor. if he's been taking the antibiotics since friday it should have at least started to clear up by now, and certainly not have got worse. either his gp or the walk-in bit of your hospital, or ring nhs direct. i wouldn't be happy if this was happening to me.
He also told someone that weight loss was not a side effect/feature of emphysema when it is actually one of the more common and well known problems with this disease.
Question Author
Trouble is he can't get an appointment society, I suspected his antibiotics were maybe not working but don't know how long they take to get in your system and take effect
you should seek a real doctor caj1, he probably needs a different type of antibiotic
Since retiring maybe Squad has become a Coroner and runs a Mortuary in Mallorca !
lol
