The Mc Cann Parents are once again whinging that the British police have given up searching for Madeleine.The search cannot go on for ever using our Police.The Mc Canns have funds to carry on their own search in Portugal but why expect our police to be used when Madeleine went missing in Portugal. She would not be missing if they had not left her in the flat I hasten to add.I so hope that she is safe and well looked after somewhere bless her. Other children have gone missing I do not remember Ben Needhams Mother expecting help when he went missing in Greece many years ago.I am tired of them complaining.

The attitude of the holier than thou posters sicken me. I truly hope a similar situation doesn't happen to you or yours and you're faced with the venom you're directing to this couple. But of course it wouldn't happen to you would it? You're all so bloody perfect!

I agree with Boo the McCanns have been through hell.. they don't deserve alot of the statements posted here today.. they must have known that one day police help would be scaled down or stopped.. well that day has come and we should all have a bit of sympathy for this couple who have done all they could to try to get madeleine back.. just think of how they must be feeling today..

No it would'nt happen to me Boo, i would'nt leave my son who is now 13, alone at that age (or now) so i could go out and enjoy myself.

we all know how child friendly restaurants are in france/spain/italy and portugal, they are fantastic with kid, why why why did'nt they take the children with them.

Right or wrong, the McCanns have lost their child and are asking for help in finding her. Without going into too much detail, my family had a similar experience to theirs, but my family's ordeal was over after 3 days and had a happy ending.

If Madeleine is still out there, doesn't she deserve to be reunited with her parents? Her parents may have acted irresponsibly or naively that night, but no one can doubt how much they love their kids.

But a junkie would knowingly put their needs before that of their child, the McCanns made an error of judgement believing their children to be safe. They were making checks every 15 minutes, contrary to wild rumours.

Yes, it only takes a couple of seconds. A couple of seconds to answer the phone, go and stick the kettle on, or run upstairs to fetch something. Meanwhile, it's a boiling hot summer's day and your living room windows are open....

It can happen to anyone. Nobody can watch their child 24 hours a day.

The McCanns seem to forget that they are !00% to blame for their child's disappearance. Joggerjayne is right about them being out of their minds. As a GP, the mother may well have been involved in decisions to remove children from parents who left their children alone at night! But she felt it was ok to leave their 3 tiny children sleeping alone, in a foreign country? Both parents equally to blame, of course. Supposedly very intelligent people.

Its the holiday season soon and they're keeping the case in the public eye. You can't blame them for that. As for someone breaking into a bedroom and abducting a child is beyond most peoples comprehension.

Are you sure your child couldn't suffer same while you sleep, or they're left in school, playing out or even while your concentration is on your pc.

God forbid it happens to you......no one can watch their child 24/7.

She forgot to shut the window and forgot to take the child into the bathroom with her....

ummmm, Happened to Eric Clapton's son......very painful and hard to live with. If the McCanns hadn't got more children to rear they would either be divorced or dead.

I do feel Madeline is alive & will turn up; I hope so for the parents sanity.
