me and partner are having a little debate here on walking barefoot around the house. Ihate wearing socks or slippers as i find when you wear them your feet sweat therefore are more prone to getting fungal infections etc yet he says this is really unhealthy and dirty. What do you think?

I would love to go barefoot except I have very, very cold feet. Sheepskin slippers is the only thing for me.
Some people cannot bear the sight of bare feet, it can be really repulsive to some (others love them!). Maybe that's his problem - he is repulsed by any bare feet. If that's the case, he really can't help it, and perhaps you can find a compromise - this socks, maybe.

Barefoot whenever possible. When I was young I rarely wore shoes. The only problem now is that I have arthritic feet, (nothing to do with going around barefoot) Can't stand socks or shoes/sandals and absolutely hate slippers. I bought myself some last winter and they are still in the box. I prefer cold feet!! I have never had a fungal infection, corns or bunions, but the soles or my feet are prone to hard skin - which I treat regularly.
