Weight Gain
337 Answers
Hi Out there...feeling a bit down. Today was my weekly weigh in and have again put on 1 lb. making it a total of 6 pounds in a couple of months. I have doing Rosemary Connely since last Sept and managed to loose 10 kilos.
My doctor had given me pills to help keep my hunger down ( I didn't think they did) but now they have been taken off the market. (can't remember their name)
I am eating the same and exercising every day (am 70 yrs old) so I just wanted some support really. I shall keep on of course but it is so annoying to see numbers going the wrong way.

I know some people can't take the grapefruit juice due to medical reasons but that is what helps me .I hope people don't think they are tied to a Wednesday. Just pop in anytime and share with us .So as I said Cut out the fat and the crap and it will be done so Onwards and Downwards.

im using a little mini stepper to get some exercise in.
ive never been one for exercise either, but this is easy and convenient, ive got it here in the room, and i just nip on for a few minutes at a time whenever i fancy, like during ad breaks when im watching corrie or something. or say 15 mins stepping while im listening to my favourite toons on my ipod. its good.
and hey, ive been offered a 'leg master' exercise machine (anyone else got one of these?) from some kind lady on our local freecycle site.
im picking it up tomorrow. she doesnt want anything for it (cost her £80 new), plus shes got a stepper too that i can have (also cost her £80 new). so im having that aswell! - well, you can never have too many steppers can you?! lol. (itll be handy to have as a spare if mine ever went up it)
but how generous and kind is that eh? i couldnt thank her enough in my replies when we were messaging earlier making arrangements.
i think i will buy her some flowers and give them to her when i nip over as a little thank you token - do you think that would be enough/ok?
so anywaaaay notafish, maybe get yourself a stepper too? just a few minutes a day is better than doing nothing isnt it?
good luck to everyone, and heres hoping itll be a pleasing weight loss this week :o)

Hello everybody.
Hope you are all doing well,I've been reading through some of the posts and glad that the main group are still here and sticking with the diets.
I've been having a complete break from AB and think I'll probably do so until after Xmas at least. I do miss this thread but it's actually quite nice being out in thr real world - I'm certainly getting more done. I've been sticking with my healthy eating and I'm now down to 98kg so heading in the right direction.
I wish you all the best, ladies, and i may stick my head round the door occasionally to see how you're getting on.Onwards and downwards!

Be sure that you are drinking enough - I find that my weight loss is greatly helped by remembering to drink water - I sometimes have a cup of hot water with lemon in it as well as tea and coffee. Also, don't eat anything past 8 pm, as it gives your body time to digest it before your systems slow down for bed time. I find buying a new cookery book gives me a boost, as it gives me lots more different recipes to try! Good luck, I am sure it is just a temporary glitch!
