Well depends on what is causing it really, is it a chest infection ? Honey can be soothing but if the wheezing is coming from the lungs may need checking out..
I don't know where it's coming from. It started as a dry tickly cough that really really hurt my throat and chest. Now it's a bit chesty. The whezzing's in the back of throat. It's annoying because it's keeping me awake...and disturbing Oh.
Do you wheeze on breathing in or on breathing out? Out
Have you got a cough? Yes
Are you short of breath? Not doing much..NO. Occasionally when I'm busy but I think that's because I'm knackered. I haven't had much sleep in the last week.
ive just had same recently. Wheezing is all the phlem in throat. Cough it all out before bed is what i do. If it is still there next wk then likely chest infection.
Ummmm, try googling "Effective coughing technique". This should give you some links on the technique that respiratory therapists teach in hospitals. They do work as I have to do it to daily due to my lung disease. Try sleeping propped up with more pillows as well, lying down flat will make you cough more as the phlegm pools in your throat.
Hot Toddy is great: whiskey, lemon, hot water, always helps, probably best to go see your Doc if you have had it while and he can give you some antibiotics if necessary.
Without listening to your chest its unlikely anybody on here can give an accurate diagnosis.
I don't think it's anything bad RATTER. There's not huge amount of mucus and it's clear. No other symptoms.
What's not helping...bloody police helicopter flying overhead for about an hour at 3 am Wednesday night. Last night a bloody car alarm was going off, on and off for a couple of hours. Everything is much worse when you're tired.
