Annoyed at my sister's 'friend' . . .

My sister's best friend's sister (who my sister has socialised with in the past) has just had a baby. She saw my sister and her baby about a month ago and now she's just had her own baby . She has copied the name my sister has given to her daughter (and the middle name too!!!). As you can imagine, my sister is livid and my sister's friend is really embarrassed about it. It's not her fault and she told her sister not to copy the name. Copying the name would have been bad enough but to use the same middle name takes the biscuit.

Anyway, I want to think of something I can say on Facebook which basically says it's out of order, I want a good quote about imitation or just something good I could write.

My sister wants me to do this so it gets back. I know this might sound really silly but I'd be seething too if someone did this to me!!

Thanks

Don't worry....when the other girl is 15,she'll hate her mum for giving her someone else's name..........

No, she didn't like the name before. She visited my sister after she'd had her baby and told her sister she was going to use that name. I don't think my sister would be so annoyed if she hadn't used the same middle name too.

It does just make the girl look pathetic but it's still out of order, in my opinion.
Also, it's not a good time for either of them as their hormones will be going mental. It's done now, just leave it alone. Just be grateful that they have both been lucky enough to have had healthy babies.
Plus, you don't want to damage the relationship between two friends, and subsequently between you and your sister.
It's not really your problem, so I'd leave it be.

chocchip, we know a person like that, she imitates another friend in wallpaper, colour schemes, what they drink in the evening and when - sad really, but she has no imagination of her own.
Misscommando, are these really unusual names? it really doesn't seem worth getting so het up about it all.
Let me guess - Shaznay Passion.......?

it's a form of flattery. they should both think themselves lucky they have babies.. some women don't/can't achieve that.

it's a petty row to get involved with. you'd think they'd have their hands full with new babies!
what are the names miss c. ?

Fair enough if you wouldn't be annoyed if someone copied your child's 1st and middle name but my sister's situation is that she is annoyed and she is trying to deal with that.

Thanks for answers/opinions

it's actually an old fashioned name, not a chavvy name like JTH suggested
You and your sister are sounding very petty.
some names are so popular, when they get to school there might be 3 in the class with the same names.

especially if she's picked something "in" and one of those middle names like "May" or "Rose"
Old Fashioned names are very popular at the moment.
I love Iris and Warwick
:)

sorry but if it's something like Emily Louise or Victoria Jane, then you're sisters sister;s best mates aunt had every right as there is no copywrite on naming your kids,
There were five of us in my class at school, all with the same name.
