Anne - sorry I have only just seen this. My late sister had a triple bypass in Hammersmith Hospital, London and I went with her. After her op I could not even recognise her, she had aged so much. But the next day she was looking far more her old self and the nurses had her up on her feet. Within the week I was driving her back to Bournemouth in my car! Her recovery rate was really remarkable. I shall certainly include him in my prayers. Take care of yourself too ♥
Will do, Anne. Have faith, things would work out. Best of everything to your relative, and speedy recovery to them.
In my prayers xx
Adding mine to for a fast and uneventful recovery. Ratter, if you are reading this, nicely said.......
:-)
Still thinking of you and your family Anne. Glad he is through he surgery safely. x

Thanks. I intend to!! Going to a rather nice pub with a friend out in the middle of the countryside, not far from me!! And the sun is shining!!

Trouble is I have a dodgy tum at the moment - but I shall ignore it!! Best go and spruce myself up, Anne. See you later x
Yeah!! you're right. No one can deny the power of prayer. When nothing works, the power of prayer comes into play.

may i draw your attention to the last post, an update. following triple heart bypass. all things going quite well at the moment, he looks and feels as if he has been kicked by a horse, but early days. thanks to all who took the time to answer my question.... anne
That is great Anne.

Two good friends have had by pass surgery in recent years. One had quadruple and one five (can't think of the word for 5 bypasses).

Both are in their 60's. Both now are extremelly healthy and look better than they did before.

Mr LL had a stent fitted two years ago after a massive heart attack. He is like a new man!!

By passes these days are no big deal (Quoting you know who!!! ;o) )

He may look awful at the moment. In a week or so you will be surprised at the change!!
Question Author
lofty, great mr l sounds as if he was treated very quickly ?
Had a stent fitted within 1.5hrs of his heart attack Anne. Ambulance took him straight to the new Cardiac unit at our county hospital. They just called the unit from our house with all the details and the team there were ready waiting. Didn't have to go through A&E at all. Fabulous treatment that really was lifesaving. The unit had only been open 2 weeks!!!

By the time I arrived at the hospital he was done and dusted and having a cuppa!!
Question Author
the NHS at its best.
Absolutely!

Hope your relative continues to make a good improvement. Both my friends were out of hospital in less than a week!!
