Filled our bedroom full of love heart balloons one valentines day a long time ago

For our 25th wedding aniversary, I arranged for our daughters and grandschildren to have special group photos done, and got them framed in series of shots, and gave them to her at our aniversary weekend when all our family were there.
The most romantic thing she did for me was well before we were married. We were out walking in Barlaston, the village where I was christened, and as we walked down the church drive, a lovely long road with trees lining either side, we saw an eldery man painting the scene. Somehow without me noticing, my girlfriend got his contact details, bought the painting and had it framed, and gave it to me for my next birthday. Fantastic gift! When i look at it, which iks every day, it's in our lounge, it reminds me how lucky I am and how much I love her.

I surprise him sometimes on his day off by making him a nice cup of tea and a plate of biccies. Never drink tea myself so he regards it as me putting myself out (the fool!!) He once left me a note "I love you, you are wonderful.....we need sausages and toilet rolls xxx " the note turned up ages ago after we moved and our daughter found it at first she thought it romantic till she got to the shopping list................note is missing again!
