ex changed his status on facebook but didnt defriend me

my ex, who i have been completely ignoring went on facebook last night(which he NEVER does, as he says its too immature hes 41)and changed his status from 'in a relationship' to 'single' but didn't defriend me. Do you think he did it for my benefit? i was going to click on 'like' button but then i thought no, i want to disappear from his life (for my healing). I think it might be a jibe at me for ignoring him and not picking up his call last week, what do you think?

Block him. Best thing for your own sanity. Not healthy to keep an ex as a friend on FB.

Get rid of the friend relationship, then you won't get his newsfeed. If you don't care for him, you won't want to see his updates. He hasn't done it for your benefit, you want to disappear from his life, then for goodness sake do some housekeeping. Now.
