I was seeing a married woman for 3 years. Her marriage has been stormy right from the beginning. She was lovely and fun to be with. We dined out at many places. This time last year her husband found out and and started sending me abusive messages via facebook. I eventually had to call police since we're in same city. Since then the relationship ended. Recently it was her birthday and mine falls a day before hers. She sent me a birthday greeting via email and i sent her too.

I do miss her, would any of you think its safe to see her again just for one last time as its been a year since the incident happened and a year since we last met ? she was wonderful woman and I have missed and she feels the same ?

If she decided to stay with her husband, I think it's a bad idea.

Should not keep in touch with her at all ?
No...not if she's married and decided to stay with her husband.
Seeing her 'one last time' seems a bit pointless... it'll just open old wounds and possibly make you think there is a chance of more in the future. Move on.
NO NO NO NO !!!!
oh you know the answer to this don’t you? Grow up. Move on.

You love the woman...she is married ...it happens. If you both enjoy each other, then set up a meeting, you only live once.

Learn from your past mistakes and be more careful this time........

Your situation is involving millions of relationships all over the world....your's is not unique.
If she sent you the birthday e-mail first there's a good chance the pair of you will start up again if you meet. Depends on whether you want the definite hassle that will ensue.
You must have been scared of him or you wouldn't have involved the police.
She messaging you was a dumb thing to do.
They both sound like people you should keep well away from.

@Gromit, well the messeges were quite abusive from her husband, and since we are in same city, for my own protection, I sent the cops down their house.
and do you really expect anything other from the woman's husband ??? you need to move on..find yourself a woman that is free to offer you what you want....
MrSoul...can you really blame him?

I know the responsibility lies with her but that won't stop him being angry with you. Being cheating on is devastating for most people.

I was seeing a married man once. I didn't know he was married until his wife phoned me. I would never ever inflict that sort of pain on someone intentionally.

I can still hear the pain in her voice even though she called me every name under the sun.

It's not her husbands fault he's hurt and you have to remember, if she's cheating on him, she's a cheat and will prob do the same to you.

Although I don't completely agree with that, DB, some people just put up with bad marriages because it's the easy option...mainly money and kids.

It would be a deal breaker for me. I couldn't stay with a cheat. I value my peace of mind too much.
