6 Answers
have an online male friend ive talked to over the phone for two years now, we talk virtually everyday for hours and really get on, all is fine accept im worried that ive fallen for him, how can this be when we've never even met? both of us are single and in our late twenties, the agreement has so far been that we are unlikely to meet and just friends how do i stop myself falling in love with him without ending this friendship?

You are getting to know someone, learning their likes and dislikes... moods and temprement. It's a friendship whatever anyone says. Thing is would the friendship survive if you tried to move on from just chatting on the phone? Do you want to chance it and find out? Is he looking to move on from phone chats? There are a lot of question marks on this bambino78 so put everything into perspective before you do anything

You must be 2 very shy individuals. I would have thought as you both get on so well that the urge to meet after 2 years would be tremendous. One or both of you must suffer low esteem and feel that by meeting you won't match up to your own description. It reminds me of when I was in the army at some distant posting when the only contact was by a pen friend but did not work out when I returned to UK because of not matching up.
thanks to twicky and cherrypie for sound replies, yes we're both shy and when we started talking we were both adament we didnt want a relationship with anyone but both just wanted company over the phone, thanks cherrypie gonna' think about it carefully, think we both just wanna carry on as we are indefinitely, weirdos i know !
