Should Wills and Kate tie the knot?
7 Answers
Many people including the press are urging them either to become engaged or to marry. From past experience with Diana and Fergie is this really sensible? She seems to have a mind of her own and the clossetted nature of the Royal Family would put many restrictions on her freedom to say or do as she wants. The press honeymoon will falter once she has committed herself!
I believe if she has any sense she would break the relationship now as she seems unaware of the pitfalls facing her. Do you agree?

Unlike some of the parasites in the tabloids I have no interest what-so-ever in the private lives of people in the public eye it's their business and not mine.
And as it's the royal family I have even less of an interest.
But I do agree that the media should just let them be but that'll never happen, not while the public have an appetite for gossip, innuendo and rumours. No wonder so many celebrity relationships crash and burn.

It is something to do with all of us. Our taxes pay for most of their upkeep. Their trips abroad to fly the flag have a strong bearing how our country is viewed. If royalty does not concern you then you would be quite happy to have an elected president (your not in the majority on this one). William will probably be the next King of England. If he wanted to give up the throne and become a commoner then he should be left alone, but this seems highly unlikely.
Its his choice, not ours!

They both seem sensible young people. Just lets leave them alone to make their own decisions and remember that the constant barrage of media publicity caused William's mother to be killed. Have the press, and some of us, not learned that lesson and is history to be allowed to repeat its tragic pattern all over again?
