Something is really buggin me! There is something really 'not right' my best mates new boyfriend, to cut a long story short...

He comes from a really wealthy family and yet drives around in an old banner that is constantly breaking down. He told her the reason for that is, he had a brand new car but he prefers old cars so he sold the old one bought a banner and spent the other money elsewhere.

So at the weekend it transpires that actually he got caught for drink driving last year arrested charged etc but only got a fine....sound strange? I've done a bit of research and some one caught for DD should expect at least a 6 month ban and a fine which he hasn't mentioned happened and now doesn't really want to talk about it. What should someone expect for being charged with DD? To the best of my knowledge he just got caught he wasn't iinvolved in an accident or anything like that. He has also said he wnet traveling but hated it and came back although has no more to say on the matter, can DD land you in prison?

...And further to this he has now decided he wants to be a teacher wont this hinder his career i.e. he wont get a teaching job with a criminal record, as it will show on the CRB check wont it?

I dont know maybe I'm reading to much into this but any advise/opinions etc greatly appreciated

Oi **** features did you actually read the question? Clearly you missed the point w@nk face...thanks for your in put anyhow xxx
I have to agree with CushtyFred to a certain extent. You can't write the bloke off just because he chooses to drive a crappy car.

Maybe he was done for drink driving but as the first post suggests, he may not have been banned, just points on his licence. And its understandable that he doesn't want to talk about it, it's nothing to be proud of!

It isn't anything to do with you really, if your friend is determined to go out with him there is not much you can do. If you keep trying to turn her against him, it may backfire and she may choose him over you. Just bite your lip and be prepared to be a shoulder to cry on if he does turn out to be a complete w**ker!

Stop being so blo*dy nosey lol.

She's a big girl let her make her own mistakes.
Yet again the idiotic blokes come out with all the best lines...." It's people like you that need a good slap, you nosey sl@g"
What a f*cking @rsehole!!!!
You are right to be suspicious jax. I hope you get to the bottom of this for your friend's sake. Men can be such lying, twisted f*cks. I'd keep looking if I were you. The upper classes have a nasty habit of thinking that they are above the law and do not have to answer to anyone. Well they do. You.
And yes, Fred, I am a really nosey sl@g too. But I can always wind my neck in. You'll always be an @rsehole.
Wow! It's amazing how many people 'miss the point' when they let their emotions get involved!

Jax keep with it, I agree with cheries
It's a little hit and miss really - it's very possible that he's driving the banger because since the ban, his parents have cut him off financially, and he can't afford anything else - no bloke is going to impress a woman with the line "well the car is a piece of crap, but I can't afford anything else".

In regards to the drink driving, this has been well answered - working as an insurance fraud investigator, I can honestly say I've never seen a drink drive conviction that DIDN'T carry a ban.

It's very probable that this guy is lying, but have you thought that it may not be because he's being malicious, but just because he's embarrased - everyone makes mistakes.

Whilst I know I'm opening myself up to a barrage of abuse from the women, this sounds a little more like jealousy than looking out for your mate. You've obviously been digging for information on this guy to find out about his drink drive conviction.

In regards to the teaching profession, yes if he went to prison for drink driving, it will show on his record. However, under the rehabilitation of offenders acts, and general common sense in some cases, this won't affect him getting any jobs.

Let's face it, paedo's can work with kids, so ****** behind the wheel won't make a difference.

Have you not got a life of your own to be getting on with fatjax? And the word is banger, not banner.
