Engagement Ring

My partner and I want to design my engagement ring as opposed to buying something from the shops. Can anyone recommend a good ring designer as there seems to be so many out there we thought it best to get one with a personal recommendation. Your help would be appreciated. ;o)

If you want to design your own piece as opposed to have someone design it for you, do youi have a local non national chain jewellers? because you could start by asking there. Mr W gave me an unset gemstone a few years ago and I designed my own pendant to set it in. Our local jewellers got it made up by the goldsmith they use for repairs. He was delighted to make something and I was delighted with the result. Also it only cost a few non essential fingers and toes as opposed to the whole arm and leg!
