What do i say?....
3 Answers
One of (my 2) housmates has recently moved away, but is back visiting this weekend and wants to meet me for dinner soon. Problem is, I live with another girl also, and my friend doesn't want this other girl to come to dinner (The 3 of us lived together but she has issues with my present housemate, which my present housemate is unaware of!) - long story! So anyways, Can anyone give me any advise on how i can go and meet my friend for dinner, without looking like im leaving my other housemate out, I'm rubbish at lying, but she will also ask where i'm going. (If i tell her she'l will wonder why she's not invited) and I don't wanna be put in that situation. Any advise?......

In the end I went out with my friend and when the other friend asked where I had been, I just said that I bumped in to so and so and we ended up going out for lunch. That way, the friend who hasn't been invited didn't feel as upset because she saw it as a last minute arrangement. I hope this makes sense. Other people who have not been in this situation may say "just tell your friend the truth" but believe me it's not as easy as that so I sympathise with you! x
