I am 18 years old and have not had a boyfriend yet. Is this weird?

Not at all, you will probably be led to believe it is by your peers, teen magazines and the media.

I'm alot older than you, but didn't have my first boyfriend until 22. One of my close friends is almost 40 and she's still not had a boyfriend.

I imagine you are quite happy within yourself and that it's others who are making you feel uncomfortable about it.
When love strikes its mark you'll know and you'll be ready.
Never live your life vicariously through your partners, value yourself for being yourself and not for who you're seen to be with.
But being a greenie I also wonder if you're genuine and not one of the troll like saddo freaks on here and whether this is a genuine question or not.
If it is a genuine question then ignore the last paragraph.

Yeah you may feel pressured by society, you are at an age where your friends are getting partners and spending more time with them.

I myself didnt have a girlfriend till I was 16. I didnt lose my virginity till I was 18 (with a different girl) and I dont regret anything from my life.

It will happen, and it normally allways happens when your least expecting it/not thinking abou it.

So my answer too are you weird is=NO!!!!!!!!!!!

Now if you had come on here and said you had 18 boyfriends on the go that would be a diff matter lol.........

bemore....you answer....the facts:
1) She uses the term weird re. her relationship...not a usual description of one's feelinfgs in this situation/
2) She is a female of 18yrs old....where has she been these last few years...work, school, night clubs etc...surely she has seen her friends have boyfriends.
3) Yes, you will get the odd daughter who hasn't had a boyfriend before she was 18, but almost certainly the exception.
4) Even 40 yrs ago it was common to have a boyfriend before you were 18 and now in the 21st century very unusual.
5) She has asked a rhetorical question and got the replies she was "fishing" for.
6) Maybe and I say maybe, a girl unattractive to the opposite sex MAY get to the age of 18 without having a boyfriend.

hmmm my first bf i was 10, ob a very serious relationship :-), but serious wise i guess i was 15ish - well it was serious to me at the time.

I've kind of been made to feel like it's weird by some people around me. It's just sometimes when I see another couple, I think it would be nice to have that for myself. I'm not some desperate loser or anything but it would just be nice. By the way, I am not fishing for any answers. I just wanted to see the response I'd get. If anyone does think it's weird, fine post it. It's your opinion and you're entitled to it.

ps. was faithfully married for 21 years and now live on my own and am not looking for a partner as no one could ever fit my lifestyle....did you just take it for granted that i had shagged half the world?????
