4 years. Then I did. And now he's engaged to one of my best mates. Oh, isn't life funny?!! (All for the best really; he wasn't that good anyway & he turned out to be SO not my type....)
I am going to the wedding. I may even make a speech. But I hope I don't have too much champers beforehand to loosen my tongue.... ;-)

I had a few chances to have my first time with people I liked but was not sure they liked me. So the longest I waited was about 1month when I was in a proper r-ship and that was my first time. Now I don't wait at all, if it feels right then I just go with the flow.

yer I think my longest was 2 months with my 1st boyfriend, wasnt my first time but wanted to wait this time. Reason I;m asking is my mate is 27 and has been after this bloke for ages and after lots of chasing she gave up and went off with someone else, then the other bloke realised how much he wanted her and they now go out Thing is its been 2 months and they haven�t done a thing yet. They reckon they are both getting tested first, which is very wise this day in age but there are such things as condoms and I just don�t get how they haven�t jumped on each other yet.

Yeah if it's not your first time and your not religious then I don't get the whole waiting thing especially if you are in a r-ship.

I could understand if she wants to wait to see how long he can hold out, therefore testing to see how much he likes her and if he is prepared to wait for her. But for a guy to wait 2 months is just not normal. Guys have needs and he may be tempted else where.

it isnt her waiting she tried jumping on him way before they were going out. I just think he's gone out with her to stop her going off with anyone else but just isnt sexually interested. But then would a bloke go to trouble of being tested

but like you say thay could use condoms. So really its up to her if she wants be left hanging on a bit or string or say something.

probably about 2 - 3 months but it took me ages to figure out whether i wanted to go out with him at all!

shy?? He was sleeping with someone for ages while keeping her hanging on, and then it annoyed him when she got with someone. And yes he really is getting tested they have it booked for them to both go. Its just all a bit too planned. they even got threw valentines without doing it
