Im not having much luck at all in the dating game presently. All I do is meet weird guys! Why do strange guys insist of sending me naked photos of themselves ? I dont get it, why send offensive photos to someone they dont know ? Any potential dates I meet just want no strings sex and I have really had enough now...

I'm guessing you don't use this avatar on the dating sites so it's irrelevant to your question isn't it? I think the problem is that men who use dating sites are not a fair representation of men in general.
excellent advice from jenna
Redrum,

I am obviously not expressing what I meant very well. Forget the avatar comment for a moment.

If you are trying to find a decent guy by going to dating sites, the only information thay have to judge if you are the sort of lady they are interested in is what you tell them. All I am saying is if that information is not reflective of how you really are, or as ummmm says, put in the best place to get the sort of guys you would like to be interested in you, then you will get the wierdos.

As Marshal McCluhan said " the medium is the message" - in other words if you go to the wrong place or send out the wrong message from what you meant, don't be surprised if the wrong people come back to you!
I agree that its worth joining a club. Dont know what you are into but i used to belong to bowling and water sking club here and there are a few nice people there. plus a few nurds.
Im a strong beleaver that someone will find you. and most times its clos to home. good luck, from a nice bloke. (i hope)
You're still lego...and I signed out and everything..!!

Have you got many friends Red? Ones you can go to the pub with (not clubbing)
mine has my pic, weird!
This happens to me alot.....

Your pic is probably up..
I can see you too Cazz.

I have to say I can definitely see what Androcles means. Maybe get a, preferably male, friend to have a look at your profile and give you an honest unbiased opinion as to whether they think it is truly representative of what you are (or aren't) looking for or if there is any way you can make it clearer.

I'm not saying you are misleading on there in any way but might be a useful exercise.

When you say "meet" potential dates, do you mean in person or on the site? If meet in person then maybe you need to do a better screening job before you meet them?
no strings sex is the new rock n roll.
Perhaps you are sending the wrong signals and not aware of doing so.
you're always going to get chancers on dating sites, you just have to ignore them and look out for the ones who want something more. I've used dating sites and men do gripe about women displaying lots of cleavage, lying on a bed, with a write up saying "don't message me with anything naughty!" (I'm not suggesting you did this, but you can see what you're up against!) you get what you pay for with a dating site, the free ones are generally a nightmare.

I'd strongly recommend getting "out there", check out your local paper for local events and plan to widen your circle of friends, male and female. you never know what it might lead to :o)
Hello Redrum,
Believe in yourself. my advice for you is to uphold your dignity. If the guys that comes your way are weird guys, do not for any reason allow them to change your believe. Try not to allow them to have there way and talk you to doing what you dont believe in.
I believe there are more than enough descent guys/men out there in the world. So please take your time and you will find a good man.

Best of luck.
