Mrs sqad gave me the money to buy a ring and I lost it playing poker....anyway although she was not amused, she "coughed up" again...............keen she was ;-)
unless you're talking dog years http://www.eventectiv...8/07/dog-wedding1.jpg
you are submising the ring came from argos poodi, for all you know it may of come from a jewellers, do you think that because they are young they would automatically buy something cheap at argos?

does it matter where the ring comes from? why does spending a fortune on a small piece of jewellery mean more, I would rather they saved money to put towards more useful things than a ring.

I think when you pass on,leaving some jewellery to your family, wedding rings, engagement rings, and eternity rings, yep argos price!
i totaly agree wiv cazzz
Question Author
It was cazz she told me
from what I have seen when relatives pass on and leave heirlooms the offspring cant sell them fast enough...
have you looked how much they are in argos well i have
take a look

cazz,my mum passed away in february and i have kept her wedding and engagement rings!
////the engagement ring,argos perhaps////

Correct me if I am wrong, but I feel that you have misunderstood the meaning of poodi's post.

Her comment above, is tongue in cheek way of saying "How can they afford to get engaged at 17 AT ALL.
The most expensive ring I was bought was an eternity ring..........which considering my track record was somewhat optimistic.
I was confused by your question then poodi, the line went

"can i ask where do they buy the engagement ring, argos perhaps?"

which asks a question then offers a suggestion "argos perhaps", but it does not suggest that she said "yes, I purchased my engagement ring in argos"
Craft......LOL.....you didn't meet me though ;-)
I cannot see the point of looking down my nose at a young person for having the cheek to consider marriage and buying the ring from a store that suggests they are not millionaires... ;)

live and let live.

Rachael you have low expectations lol,if you think they are expensive
I have been married for 38 years and have never had an engagement ring. In fact I have never been engaged. We just decided to get married and did the deed very quietly six weeks later. I care nothing for expensive jewelry. I have some lovely antique rings that have down the generations to me and they never see the light of day.

See, I was a bargain. Mr LL is very lucky!!
i like the argos rings
for all you know poodi, they may have wasted a lot of money...
