I think we can all be like that. If I'm not trying to lose weight it seems to go up whilst my attention is on other things. We need a diet we can stick to indefinitely; although it would help if the body understood the lower weight is the preferred one and adjusted metabolism to suit.
I do have a more relaxed approach to dieting than I did after I had Little Tiggs. I put on 3 stone and was very stict with myself to lose the 3 stone. Since then I just put on bits here and there but as long as I don't have to 3 stone I'm more complacent. At the moment, I just need to lose 3 or 4 lbs to get back to what I was 2 weeks ago.
Thanks xstitcher! Have done reasonably well so far this week which is a bonus as I'm usually a bit relaxed straight after weigh in on Weds then have a rush of conscience by Sunday evening, by which time the damage is often done!
Here`s a strange thing. Earlier in the year I joined WeightWatchers and only lost 1/2 lb per week (if that). I haven`t been to a meeting since the end of May and completely abandoned the diet in mid June when I went on holiday and I didn`t go back on it. I got disillusioned with the diet because I felt it was too restrictive for my lifestyle and seriously thought it was slowing down my metabolism. I`ve just been weighed and have lost 1.12 lbs since I stopped the diet.
I`m just about to have a big curry to celebrate.
Good Morning All,

Uff.....up by almost ½ lb......so much for the change I made last week so I shall shelve it and go to the naughty step with a bowed head.....I hope the rest of you have better results, sob, sob!!
When I weighed myself now the first result was breathtakingly down and I knew it had to be wrong. No way could anybody loose 10 pounds in one week even thought seeing those numbers on the scales was lovely. I figured that it was probably the batteries. Now we have large rustic style floor tiles there so I moved the scales so they were positioned in the center of the furrows between the tiles and it was there that I got the proper reading........
Squeeze up stitcher, I'm with you on the step this week. I've brought my cushion and the contents of the fruit bowl - I'm sure it'll do me good to spend a week here.

1 1/2lb up this week which was two work lunches/functions and not much exercise. Better luck to you all.
Oh dear, I hope this isn't the beginning of an epidemic.....
Move over up about 1/2 lb but I am not surprised as I knew it would catch up with me. I will bring my Kindle and notebook of what I ate this time last year and study it .
237sj the same diets that these clubs suggest don't work for everyone you have to juggle them to see what suits you as Xstitcher tried out this week and found it didn't work.
I shall bring a bag of mini carrots to the naughty step and lots of my teas.
I don't have a weight for last Wednesday but going by last Thursday I seem to have lost 2½ lbs. In fact I'm right on the stone weight milestone I dropped below a few weeks ago, but then jumped back above it again. Hopefully by tomorrow I'll have dropped below again and maybe even stay below this time ?
Ah scales problems eh ? I still don't get why they make scales that opt not to give as right reading if conditions aren't just so. It's the same gravity pulling on the same mass onto the same sensor. It must be difficult to design them so they don't read correctly all the time.
Scales. Hmmm. I forked out a lot of money at the weekend for super-dooper all singing all dancing scales as I wouldn't be able to go to my Slimming World group any more, so I thought I'd try going it alone. Mr Frog (always one to play with a new toy!) has been weighing himself morning and evening every day since and consistently finds that he is several pounds lighter in the morning. Then this morning I found I'd lost two pounds overnight. Can our weight really go down so much overnight?
Hi Kiki I know you are lighter in the mornings than evenings but I would not think by 2 1/2 lbs. Be interesting for other comments on this. I find my Digital scales can be a bit temperamental but not by that much. Might be better to use the old fashioned scales maybe more realible. I might buy a cheap set just for comparison.
Yes, I thought it seemed a bit odd. Mr Frog regularly loses 5lb overnight according to our scales, then puts it on again during the day! Maybe the answer is just to go by how tight my clothes feel on me.
I like old fashioned scales; but with one foot in the bowl and the other on the weight tray, finding my balance is hard, and I always seem to weigh zero.
Well done to those who have lost. I'm up one pound so I'm on the naughty step too, actually I'm on the disappointed step... I didn't think I'd done anything wrong this week.
Don't dospair Notafish it will shift for next week. It's pretty crammed on the naughty step this week so got to get off for next week.
I won't despair, I'm in good company. And we'll all get off the naughty step next week :-)
Yes we will get off next week. I just had a thought of what I would love doing if I ever reach my goal....buy dainty underwear!!!!!!
