Anyone managed to resist the Halloween treats? Don't suppose the kids wanted a banana instead did they :-).
Don't forget your weekly weigh on Wednesday and remember we don't judge!

If you must take a break trigger, my advice is to try not to go in reverse looking for comfort. Catch you here when you get back then ;-)

My tips for dodging the Christmas treats are:
-- Don't tell people you're trying to be good as they'll think you're a complete party pooper! Instead have small portions and a few treats to be sociable and no-one will really notice.
--To coin a phrase -" Just say no" when offered treats between meals such as chocolates and mince pies. Say you're full thanks but maybe later.
--Have plenty of satsumas on hand which you can eat freely to make you feel Christmassy.
--Swap a roast potato for extra green veg.
--Go easy on the alcohol. Have some flavoured sparkling water close by to fill your glass instead.
--Don't buy excessive amounts of Christmas treats yourself, only have them when you visit other people. That way you can't be so easily tempted.
--If you're given boxes of biscuits, chocolates or cakes take them as gifts to people you visit.
--Go for a few walks over Christmas to burn off some of the extra calories.
--Its only a couple of days, enjoy yourself but don't do anything to excess.

These are good ideas Maidup. A tip though, remember who gave you the goodies that you are going to give some where else so that the original giver doesn't find out what you are up to!! Secondly be careful with the satsumas, as good as they taste they are full of sugar and stimulate the feeling of hunger......
You are so right about not telling what you are doing.....people don't like that hmmm. I hope the rest of us take your excellent tips to heart.

All very good tips Maidup. :)
I also agree wholeheartedly with you wendilla about not having treats in the house. We have stopped buying the enormous multi bags of crisps we used to keep in for our teenage son (who is very slim and active btw) and now only buy 6 packs. I have never been a big fan of crisps though so it was more for my oh's benefit :)

That's ok Daffy. Xstitcher and I both have the same tips at times. In case you don't know Xstitcher started this nearly 2 years ago and I was her first reply and it has gone from there .We gain some people and lose some and some always return. The Ed took over and gives us a new monthly post.
