Hello all,
Welcome to this month's Onwards & Downwards. We welcome anyone serious about losing weight and we offer support and kind thoughts - not magic fixes, just sensible help.
So Spring is officially here with March and hopefully we can all spend a bit more time out of doors :-).
So what is good to eat in Spring? Apparently, seafood like sardines, mackerel, salmon and oysters. Here are a couple of simple easy and above all healthy fish recipes:

1 tablespoon lime juice
2hardboiled eggs
50 grams any type of lettuce
(the weights are just guide lines)
Divide the broccolli into small bouquets. Pour boiling water over them and let them be in it for 5 min.
Cut the courgettes into 2 long pieces and then cut across into 6 or 8 pieces.
Roll the courgettes and peppers in the oil with salt and pepper and turn them out onto a baking paper lined pan. Mix the chick peas with half of the marinade and bake with the peppers etc. Bake in oven at 225 for about 15 min.
This can be done the night before if you are taking the salad to work Maydup.
Press the juice from the lime and mix it with the rest of the ingredients.
Slice the avacado into small pieces and mix with lime juice.
Cut the eggs into boats.
Mix everything together. Eat with brown bread or a grainery bread roll.

My friend was miffed when she weighed herself on my scales at the weekend. They are correct (according to SW) and previouly she had taken great delight in telling me how much slimmer she is than me (at least a stone lighter).. However, when she got on my scales, she weighed 7lbs more than she thought she did and I now only weigh 4lbs more than her. You should have seen the look on her face!
I also bought new scales a few weeks ago and was horrified by how much more I weighed on them - even though I knew I hadn't put any weight on overnight it was very demoralising to find that I was about 2 stones heavier than I was on my old scales (they were the lean one way and you've lost half a stone, lean the other you've gained kind). However, I'm back on the straight and narrow after my Christmas blip (which lasted way longer than it should have done). Unfortunately I haven't a clue how heavy I was when I first started, so I'm making a rough guess about how much weight I've lost in total. This week I have lost another 1lb making about 45lbs in total. I'm down three dress sizes - that's the main thing!
