Onwards and Downwards Continues in October 2015

Hello all,

Welcome to this month's Onwards & Downwards. We welcome anyone serious about losing weight and we offer support and kind thoughts - not magic fixes, just sensible help.

Despite this Indian summer we are having autumn is well and truly here. This means soups and warming dishes.

Also Halloween is just around the corner and if you have children and grandchildren then the prospect of a night full of sugar rush and tantrums probably fills you with horror!

Here are a few treats for Halloween that may not be sugar free but certainly will not be filled with e-numbers:

Sweet and spicy pepitas popcorn balls, you could sub in the flavours you wanted or just make the balls plain and have dips on the table instead.

These sweet potato chips look yummy and you could add whatever dip or chutney or sauce you liked.

Although this does have chocolate it does still mean a bite of something healthy as well

Don't forget your weekly weigh on Wednesday and remember we don't judge!

Ah, up before the lark again eh :-)

Never mind the increase. After such a period unable to keep tabs on how it's going, it's to beeexpected. Like the rest of us, eating instinctively results in a higher "normal" weight than we think is healthy. I'm sure it'll start reducing again from here onwards.
I have no idea why this mobile replaced my space with an 'e'. >:-(
Morning all xstitcher I shouldn't worry now that your progress in walking has been well achieved it will now help you as you know what to do to get back on track . OG downwards for next week and me I have stayed the same ,
Ah down another 0.8 lbs apparently. (Not that I expected it judging from yesterday's reading.)
Thanks for your back up you lovely people. :-))
I've lost track of the days again this week and having just eaten an enormous bowl of porridge, I'm not going to weigh in now. I'll try again next week!

But more importantly, can I propose a reprieve for Xstitcher? That after all she's been through and for all the support given to us, she has much infact to celebrate and need not sit on the cold hard naughty step over a 2lb gain?!

Onwards and downwards everyone.
Oh you are such a sweetie Maydup!
I agree with you Maydup . Xstitcher has fought this all the way and is now getting on well to a full recovery .
