Morning everyone!
I've given up on losing weight, and have just got back in to running or riding the bike every day - for as long as that lasts! No, really, I've given up on worrying about my weight, and focusing instead on staying fit throughout autumn and winter!
Am I being foolish?

I read a couple of books which helped me get excited for running again, which I will post as answers below.

I maintained for ages and ages, couldn't shift anything and gradually started to gain a bit. after some serious lapses and a holiday, I couldn't even face weighing myself. Until this morning when thanks to knowing you are all here on a Wednesday, I braved it. In my mind I had gained two stone! In reality its a few pounds! The psychology of it is frighteneing isn't it.
Some of my clothes have been a wee bit tight, but had it been two stone, I would be busting the seams wouldn't I?
Porridge for breakfast, pack up salad for lunch, nothings really changed I just had a nice holiday some months ago. Phew, I'm on top of the world today!
How are you all? Happy and healthy I hope.

Thanks fir the welcome, its good to be back.
I bought a tub of Quark this week. Do any of you us it? Its high protein low fat diary product which I had no plans for but decided to experiments with. I made cauliflower cheese with it. (Close your ears OG, I know the how little that will appeal to you!)
Anyway it was OK, if not brilliant as it watered a bit, but it did taste lovely and tangy with a lightness about it that cheese sauces certainly don't offer.
Any other ideas for quark?
