Morning everyone!

I've given up on losing weight, and have just got back in to running or riding the bike every day - for as long as that lasts! No, really, I've given up on worrying about my weight, and focusing instead on staying fit throughout autumn and winter!

Am I being foolish?

Here's last month's thread: http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Body-and-Soul/Weight-Loss-and-Dieting/Question1508281.html

I read a couple of books which helped me get excited for running again, which I will post as answers below.

A whole 0.8 lbs down this week. It's ok but I'm only really nearly back to where I was before my week away from home.

Glad to hear others losing too.
I just found all your posts in my junk box. I don't know why they ended up there. I moved them back to my in boxing and hope that does the trick.
!?!
Ok

Today started as a good day today. Unsure it'll survive the weekend, but we'll see.
PASS
Good morning all

I forgot until after my shower so with wet hair weighed the same as last week so suppose it means I've gone down a bit.
Oh dear. A pass and a hope for heavy water :-)
Must remember to weigh myself when I get downstairs.
Apparently down 0.4 lbs. Better than nothing.
Lotus of heavyweight water here ha ha
Forwarning. Not at home again this week, so no weighing in for me tomorrow.
(Sure I must've lost stones anyway.
This for letting us know OG. Where ever you are have a nice time.
Morning everyone, lovely to see you all. Its Wednesday and I'm back on course as of today!

I maintained for ages and ages, couldn't shift anything and gradually started to gain a bit. after some serious lapses and a holiday, I couldn't even face weighing myself. Until this morning when thanks to knowing you are all here on a Wednesday, I braved it. In my mind I had gained two stone! In reality its a few pounds! The psychology of it is frighteneing isn't it.

Some of my clothes have been a wee bit tight, but had it been two stone, I would be busting the seams wouldn't I?

Porridge for breakfast, pack up salad for lunch, nothings really changed I just had a nice holiday some months ago. Phew, I'm on top of the world today!

How are you all? Happy and healthy I hope.

Morning Maydup nice to see you . Yes it is so easy to lapse but you have done the right thing in coming back . I go up and down and stay the same but if it were not for coming on here I think . I have stayed the same this week .
How lovely to see you again Maydup! We are all getting a bit lazy so having you back may be just the tonic we need to literally shape up!
As you know we are one big cheering section and will be helping you with our support. WELCOME BACK. :-))
I meant to say that if it was not for coming on here I would be in trouble .
I know what you mean wendilla. The support and friendship shown on here is wonderful.
I forgot this morning so will post tomorrow.
Thanks fir the welcome, its good to be back.

I bought a tub of Quark this week. Do any of you us it? Its high protein low fat diary product which I had no plans for but decided to experiments with. I made cauliflower cheese with it. (Close your ears OG, I know the how little that will appeal to you!)

Anyway it was OK, if not brilliant as it watered a bit, but it did taste lovely and tangy with a lightness about it that cheese sauces certainly don't offer.

Any other ideas for quark?

I've not used Quark very much but could it be used as a substitute for sour cream or creme fraiche? Could the watering process be helped with a small amount of a thickening agent or would that defeat the purpose? Hmmmmm
Good morning all,

No October Ed???
I think my scales are stuck. Ho hum. I'm in a rut.
Down 0.8 lbs from yesterday (shows what getting back home can do) but up 1.8 lbs from a fortnight ago. More to do then.

(Wow that was a long tomorrow wait. :-) )
