cheque clearance

I moved a cheque from my ISA (in a building society) to my current account.  I deposited this cheque in a branch which isnt my own branch.

How long should it take for the money to clear?

I think 5 days is the norm these days although you are probably best asking your bank.
Five days is the norm if you bank with Barclays
Money going into your account at least five working days. Money coming out of your account posibly only 3 days.
