Scratchcards
13 Answers
Everyday I witness people who buy scratchcards eagerly scratching them off in the shop, outside the shop and just now a lady grating and grinding the life out of one whilst she was casually walking home. Can't people wait until they get home? It is my pet hate.
Rant over, time for my question: The shop allows the sale of alcohol to be consumed off the premises. Although they sell lottery tickets and cards, is it legal to gamble inside the shop?

I feel that the people that are in such a rush to get their £1 back probably shouldn't have spent their £1 on a scratch card in the first place. They could at least wait until their next trip to the shop?

Iused to sell them in the local post office. We had a couple that came in every week, a lady and her carer and they spent £30 a week on her scratch cards. then they would stand there and scratch them all and any winnings they had was changed into yet more scratch cards. It was very time consuming. I never saw them win any large amount ever..
