Newcastle are in the Premier League and finished 10th last year (above West Ham, Southampton, Brighton, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth etc)
I am sure the fans of the three teams that went down (Swansea, Stoke and WBA) would have been more than happy with 10th !
Remember that teams like Man City have a whole country backing and supporting them financially.
