The deadline for lodging a claim for PPI misselling is tomorrow, and having heard Martin Lewis on the radio today saying that just sending a query counts as starting a claim, I've just filled out a form about a mortgage I had a while ago. Only took about 5 minutes and very straightforward - no idea if I had PPI, but I thought it worth asking.
Have any ABers made a successful PPI claim?
We claimed a few months back on mortgages we had on our main home and two rentals, we no longer have mortgages but we did get a decent payout, well worth doing in our opinions.
Thanks, that's encouraging. Although I don't remember signing something for PPI separately, I get the impression that sometimes it was 'bundled' with the mortgage. Fingers crossed....
Well I'm thinking of a last ditch effort - I put in a claim with my bank (Barclays) last year but they came back saying I was due nothing - but I've wondered ever since if it's a case of 'they would wouldn't they' as I had a B/card for years, mortgages, a loan, a couple of store cards. Just not sure which last ditch people to go with?
I did it a few years ago and got small amounts here and there.
Unusually I forgot to check for PPI on my mortgage lender at the time so submitted another claim with another claims firm a few months back. The mortgage lender claimed they had not record of me so I sent a scanned statement!
