Received A Letter This Morning

from Vodaphone stating that they had noticed there was a credit on my account when I left them. The enclosed cheque covers the refund plus interest. The letter also apologises for the length of time it took to get it to me. Surprised to say the least as not been with them for 4/5 years. Nice little bonus but makes me wonder about their accounts sytem.

Bill was paid monthly by direct debit and I left on the last day of their accounting month on purpose so knew nothing was due to be paid. They cancelled the direct debit (I checked with my bank at the time)so am at a loss to see how I could be in credit. How can you be in credit when you get a monthly bill and pay it monthly. Not a huge amount as its only £40. Will try not to spend it all at once in case I get another letter saying they want it back.
