has any one got any suggestions on how to clean a red carpet without buying expensive carpet cleaners. Like with house old cleaners and white vinegar and stuff like that.

Cushion to kneel on. Scrubbing brush, bowl of soapy water,few towels. scrub as far as your arm will reach ,dry with your towel. Remember it well, so do my knees.

babscartland - Same method as above, magic ingredient, 1 part washing machine liquid to two parts water.

babs - Actually, can I revise that! Half a mug of washing machine liquid to 2 pints of hand hot water, sorry!!

Ok will give that a go. Washing machine liquid,never used that,i use powder ,will that be any good? or should I just go out and buy liquid? like aerial or persil would that be ok?

babs - Any washing machine liquid - blends more easily than powder.
