I have a bank account and pay �12 a month for it. I have a overdrafed & i do use it. I thought thats why i paid �12 a month but i get charge every month is this right?

I believe this 12 pound a month will give u a lower rate of interest whilst u are in your overdraft and probably give u travel insurance! The 12 pound does not cover the interst u occur whilst being in your overdraft so the bank are right! Hope this helps?
The �12 should cover your overdraft but you will get a seperate charge for interest on the amount you are overdrawn by.

And if you exceed your overdraft limit, you will get an extra charge.

You need to change your account to one that doesn't have a monthly fee.

The interest rate on my Nationwide Flexaccount is quite good - 7.25% for the days you are overdrawn, and you get interest on the days you are in credit.
