Deliberately Bouncing cheques
4 Answers
I know someone who has recently received a chequebook from her bank. She is over her overdraft, and has started paying for goods by cheque. I'm guessing these will subsequently bounce, that her bank will charge her everytime they represent, but what are the chances of legal action being taken against her?

If she is not using her card, the cheques will bounce and she will be charged for each one - usually around 25.
Legal action is more likely to be taken by the person/company receiving the 'bad' cheque.
