loan applications

i applied for a loan online yesterday through money supermarket, i was accepted by the company i applied to and now today im getting numerous companies ringing me to say thank you for applying for a loan and we will be processing it within the next couple of hours

i only applied to 1 company so will these other mystery applications be showing up on my credit file and if they are wont this be damaging my rating

Who did you apply to and are you sure they were lenders and not just brokers?

I thought moneysupermarket was a price comparison site? You don't buy from them, they just recommend you a deal.

I may be wrong though...
