grassed on /reported some for something you know is wrong?
as i said in tigs post i reported my ex fil for drink driving and i also reported my ex sister in law for claming benefits while working.
i reported these while still married to ex and NOT out of some malicuse vendeta nastyness.
i am also tempted again to report some one for claiming disabilaty ben yet she goes to poledance classes.wheres 4in killer heels yet is supposed to have a back problem.we have photo evidence to back it up.only a Q of time.
So what would you do....I have a friend that has moved in 'another' man who she's only known for about 2 months. She has a 3 year old child....he's trashed her house 4 times already..!! She's on benefits claiming to live alone (has done this with all the men she's moved in) and he's a drug dealer who smoke weeds constantly.
Would you grass her up just for the sake of the child?
I reported one person for attacking their toddler in the street and I reported my neighbour for regularly beating his wife when he was drunk, we could hear it through the wall and saw him hit her when they were in the garden. He also used to kick their German Shepherd dog around the back garden ... he no longer attacks her (or the dog) as he had a major stroke and is now practically bed-bound.
I called the police on my ex after he had a fight outside a club in st ives, then jumped in st ives river then got into someones back garden. He was trollied, but I couldnt stop him. Also rang police and grassed on a woman who said she'd been tied up and locked in puc while they took takings, was a load of bull. and have grassed on people for having no tax.
Yes, I found some very unsavoury pictures on a computer that was brought into the shop I worked in at the time for repair, I called the police they came and checked the computer and then asked me to call the "person" (I would like to call them something else!) and arrange for them to come and collect it, as soon as they came in and asked for it they got arrested.
I'm happy to be a grass if it stopped a toddler being attacked again and my neighbour being further abused and possibly worse by her nasty alcoholic husband.
child or animal protection issues, if the person was doing something that was a significant threat to others definitely... Benefit fraud, probably if they were open about it, and bragging to all and sundry, but possibly not if innocent children would suffer as a result. Have reported neighbours for animal neglect, and another person where I used to live as I had concerns about the safety of the children.
Bit of an interfering busybody to some I suspect, but if I didn't act and something happened I wouldn't forgive myself
I went to see a friends mother in a nursing home, and I noticed bruises on her wrists. She was infirm and a little slow, but as I wheeled her outside she stopped me so she could see her friend who was 'sitting' in an armchair. This lady was actually asleep and lying at an awkward angle. I helped her to sit up and I noticed bruises on her wrists and arms too...I went outside and went to all the old folk who were asleep and sneakily took a look at their arms, almost 3/4 had bruises on them - I confronted the 'matron' and she said old folk 'knock' themselves all the time - but you could clearly see that these bruises were finger marks.I asked another man who was visiting there if he'd seen the bruises, he shrugged and said the nurse told him his dad had had a fall. I reported what I found to my doctor who helped me to report them, and ten days later 4 people, including the matron was sacked. One man told me they had all been bullied but were too frightened to speak out.
The way I look at it is that there is no point in grumbling about benefit cheats, motoring cheats, thieves, bullies, violent assaults, abusers, drug-users if you know something that can call a halt to something.
Where would you draw the line ?
If I, or any member of my family, was a *victim* I'd certainly want, and expect, anyone else who had information to come forwards...........
ummm yes i would preort if i had seen it with my own eyes .
i have never gone of others word that some thing is going on .my ex sil asked my to sign on for her.and my ex fil was using my exhubbys car at the time.
I reported someone for drink driving once, he crawled to his car across the multi storey car park, and then drove in to the wall when trying to get out the space!
They had a helicopter out for him and foud him pulled up outside his house, he was still 3 times over the limit the next morning after spending the night in the cells!
Luckily he admitted it, hope he got put away for a while!
Yes, Late one night I found a hole in a field fence and could see a car in a dyke in the field, on investigation I found an acquaintance paraletic behind the wheel of his car, I phoned 999 and he was arrested. I have reported 4 people for abuse at the home I work in, one of those being the deputy manager, as a result of this, both the manager and deputy managers resigned followed by 4 of their cohorts.
