Cover letters

Im writing a cover letter in response to a job but as i dont know the name of the person who to address it to im unsure how i would end the letter eg if i knew the name of teh person i would end with Yours sincerely , would i use something like Yours faithfully

Yes. A letter which starts Dear Sir / Madam usually ends yours faithfully.

I usually just put Kind regards

i don't think, these days, anyone would notice, as its overy formal and a pretty obsolete rule
