Sir Alec. No one is ugly. If people tell you often enough that you are then you yourself begin to believe it. Who first told you that you were ugly? Someone obviously picked up on this and realising how much it upset you carried it on. I bet it was one of your parents or a sibling.
I used to walk into a classroom where the boys would sit around the back of the room. When I entered the room, they would chant 'Uglee, uglee' at me. The teacher was present and did nothing.
Yes, but unfortunately it continues into adult life. I saw a man at a garage, when my Dad was 'filling up'. I didn't see what he said, but he was looking at me and the woman beside him said.'Don't be so horrible'.You'd think I'd get used to it but I don't. I avoid mirrors at all costs.
This is a very emotive topic - as a child I was geeky, gawky, curly haired, skinny and bespectacled, they tried it on with me , but I had been taught such good self respect of my worth they failed miserably.
I am still not beauteous but am loved and proud of that fact.
The best lesson we ever teach our children is to be proud of who they are. Believe me I am not decrying how much this can hurt.
So clever Mike...are you the plant that will manipulate me getting banned? Are you scheming with Knobby and Doc? It's not going to happen..I will not bite to your pathetic attempts to rile me.
And to think you educated our children....no wonder education has gone down hill when teachers are nothing more than internet trolls. Shame on you !!
SirA, without the support of your parents, it is little wonder you felt so low and let down, you must at all costs realise that you are not grotesque (I do not need to see you to know that). You may think it is late in life to develop a thicker skin and some pithy put downs but it isn't.
QoM I agree what doesn't see you off makes you stronger.
No ummmm, born on a Monday and in no way beautiful at all. I wish. I see beauty in other people. So called 'ugly' men. They often have beautiful eyes. I see their beauty, but they don't see mine.
