Bullying

I was bullied at school because I was very small for me age.
My husband was bullied because he was a very plump child.
My grandson is being bullied because he lives at home with two parents who are married, & a younger sibling who is the child of both.
What a strange world we live in.

When I needed to wear pink wiry NHS glasses at the age of 7 I was the only child to wear them in my class (Yes really! this was 1955) I was called "Four Eyes" by all and sundry and hated it, but ignored it and they soon stopped. How times have changed, wearing glasses now is a fashion statement with children!
Sir Alec, if you are experiencing this then that's truly awful but I can assure you that not all men will consider you ugly. While it's true that a perfect face or figure is an initial attraction sometimes it's not true that it's all anyone wants and to be honest I can't imagine anyone who is so ugly that I wouldn't consider going out with them if they were a truly nice, inspiring wonderful person. Beauty and the preceived lack of it are often used as a weapon against people but you are the one allowing that to happen, as Mamya said you have to acknowledge yourself as being perfectly okay, only then can things begin to change.
Oh Sir Alec, I've known people with low self esteem but yours appears to be in your boots! People who can't or won't accept you as you are are the ones with the problem not you. Beauty or so called beauty is only skin deep and what really matters is the person within. Can I tell you something? I knew a guy once who had a face like a half chewed caramel but he was as sexy as all get out! Women literally fell at his feet and it was nothing to do with his looks. The true ugly ones are the ones whose ignorance makes you feel worthless. Perhaps you might consider some sort of counselling to help you feel better about yourself - for myself I've seen many of your posts etc and you've always come across as a nice kind person, someone I'd be proud to call a friend, please be kind to yourself.
