Hey all, I am going to propose to my girlfriend but, obviously, want to by a nice engagement ring. Problem is I can only really afford to spend 300 on it, as I am quite skint at the moment. Any advice, or good places to go?
My partner recently bought me an engagement ring which was well under 300. He doesn't have much money and I didn't want him spending money he couldn't really afford - we are looking to buy our first house together. I didn't want a diamond as I prefer coloured stones, so I chose an amethyst surrounded by cubic zirconia on 9ct gold which I absolutely love. It isn't how much you spend on a ring but your commitment to each other and the occasion of choosing the ring and proposing that really matter when it comes down to it.
Please let us know how you got on and what you chose!!
Doesnt matter what ring you get her,its what you choose that best suits her,not what its made from. My fiancee got my ring for around 70 and ive never taken it off and i love it. Try the jewelers channels they do good deals on diamond rings, hope all goes well.GOOD LUCK!!!
She said yes! I found a lovely ring in a little jewelers in the end. It was white gold with 3 diamonds. Very nice. I took the diamond problem into account and decide that I couldn't get a ring without them, so sorry about that.
Thanks guys, for all the advice!
it doesnt matter how much the ring actually costs u it is the thought and the occasion, either way whether it was five pounds or 500 pounds, surely your partner will appreciate it
