Children story books

Hello, what stories can you think of that are for children? Or books? And what are things that normally are found in them?

classics such as   Heidi,  oliver twist,  black beauty and treasure island are great, so are harry potter and lemony snickett books,  for younger  children,

teletubbies

 nursery rythmes  are popular and so are stories like hansel and gretel,the three little pigs, and snow white ectc

Stories for children - depends on how old the child is, but most love the Beatrix Potter books (Peter Rabbit etc), books like "Where's Spot", Mr Men books etc.

Things normally found in books -  pages, binding, words, pictures, frontispieces...

If you mean stories - they often have children, animals, fairies and witches, robots, aliens, pretty much anything these days!

This really depends on how old the children are and whether if you want to know for present giving or just general knowledge.  If you are buying a present it's best to ask the parent what they have already.

My eldest loved "Spot" lift the flap when she was 4 but my youngest, now 6, wasn't really interested.  It depends on taste.  However, lift the flap with younger children really goes down well.

Jacqueline Wilson is well regarded for older children but be careful which one you buy.  Some of her books are aimed at young teens so the subject matter may not be suitable for younger children.

I could write loads on this so give a bit more detail & I'll try to help (strictly layman of course, I'm a parent not a teacher).

I need to know this for a form of exam or coursework. I must research the topic. I need to know te stereotypical aspects and characters and what captures a youthful mind.
