Can anyone recommend a pram / pushchair which is suitable from birth which will fit in a small car boot (Ford KA). I can only find the Quinny Zapp at the moment but that is only suitable from 6 months. Also, I don't want to use a car seat on a chassis all the time.

hi, i have a 4 month old baby, and i bought a mcclarens xt buggy. it is suitable from birth right up until 3-4 years ,and its a buggy that folds down complete with a rain cover , hood, storage underneath the buggy and it was only 160.00 you have to buy the footmuff seperate. but it is well easy to use and good for storage indoors and i think a great buy for how cheap it is.it is so pracicual i bought mine from mothercare they come in different colours aswell.

Unfortunately the ford Ka boot loses a lot of space because of the stupid boot lid shape, it's v. annoying and deceiving!

Mothercare do a budget buggy at around 34.99 you would need to measure it when folded though.

you could invest in the baby bjorn? baby carrier that fyour wear like a back to fron rucksack. I have one and it is very comfortable, not back breaking at all. You could use it for 6 months and then go for th Zapp?

Hi

Dont actually know how small a Ka boot is but for a more substantial (and pricy!) pushchair, the Mamas and papas pliko/pramette, inglesina zippy and the bebe confort loola are all umbrella folding, suitable from birth and have carrycot/car seat options. The loola is my personal fave as it is ultra light, has a telescopic fold plus the seat is forward/rear facing.

Ive a panda, which i think has an even smaller boot!

The Graco travel system (i cant remember its full name) but u can get them in babies r us and mothercare- complete system for around 140-170. This was the only pushchair (suitable from birth) which fitted and didnt cost a bomb. Once the child is three months a mothercare stroller 35 is the easiest and freesup the most boot space.
