I have a daughter 7months and have recently found out that im expecting again, but this time I feel so tired and drained of energy, I feel so guilty as my husband is doing all the work. When I go to do something I get a 1/4 of the way through and am totally shattered... is this normal or should I seek medical help?...

Don;t worry Annie its quite normal. Your body is telling you that you must slow down, you have a little one already and your body is trying to cope with that, as well as the new one on the way. Just do what you can, dont overdo it, its not worth it. Things can wait. Give your husband a big kiss. Enjoy your children. They will grow up one day and you can look back on the good times you had with them. They are the most important things and like Quentin Crisp said After three years the dirt doesn't get any worse.
quite right judiewudie! relax Annie. when you were expecting the first time you wern't careing for a 7month old and my god, that alone is tiring enough!! remember, your body must still be recovering from the first baby. It WILL get better soon. I think you deserve a medal for the things you are doing. Your hubby is obviously understanding so you must be too! Its a tough time, but it'll pass soon enough. It won't be long before you're back on form and you will be the one doing all the work! Many many congratulations and the very best of luck!!!!

In a word yes! Pregnancy drains you and besides you still have a young baby too. My other child was 8 when I fell pregnant, I'd fall asleep at the drop of a hat which isn't me at all. It's normal, a mixture of your body working extra hard, the strains of a young baby and hormones. If you want to put your mind at ease, pop by your doctor's and request an iron test. It could be that you're a bit anaemic. Enjoy the pregnancy, congratulations and get as much rest as you can!

I was soooo tired during both my pregnancies I felt I could have hibernated! When expecting my second baby I used to sleep during the day when my toddler did, it was the only way I could get through the day!

Seems normal to me! I found that I was much more tired in the early weeks of pregnancy than I was later on ~ you have all those hormones chasing round telling you to rest while you can! although very difficult to do when you have a little one to care for too...

Rest up :o)

rest when ever you can a baby of 7 months is tireing as it is and being pregnant always made me feel exahusted. sleep whenever baby sleeps instead of getting those chores done.

your body hasnt had a lot of time to recover from making a baby and now its doing it again. you may need to see your midwife or health visitor for some advice about rest and diet.

you are normal - having babies is very tiring, I had 3 children under 4 and that wore me out. rest and make the most of any offers of help.
