Update on Baby Mia
Hey everyone - thought i'd update you all on our first week with Mia.
I'm still in absolute agony due to a stich they gave me which is making it difficult me to sit down!! So life will be much better once its healed.
Mia is completely gorgeous!! I sometimes have to shake myself to realise she's ours!!!!
Had to feed her on formula (much to my dissapointment) as i didnt have any milk until yesterday! (my breast were painfully engorged!!). I have now started expressing it to relieve the pain and feeding Mia it through a bottle. Hoping i'll be able to breastfeed properly but midwife is out tomorrow so i'll get her to help me!
She only wakes up a few times during the night, as long as she gets her milk she's fine!!
Gave her her first bath today and she was fab - seemed to quite enjoy it!
I have had the odd emotional breakdown as i hate the house being untidy (i just want to grab a hoover - but have resisted!) and i hate being restricted (due to my stiches). I want to be back to normal, be able to jump out of bed with ease and feed Mia happily without being in agony because of the position i've sat in!! But i'm sure i'll be fine soon!
If any of you want a pic let me know and i'll send a few through - [email protected].
Hope all the other new mummies are coping well! xxx

I had vacuum extraction & transfusion after my first birth too..luckily it didn't put me off having 3 more..although at the time it was horrendous :o(
I remember everyone thinking I was fine one minute..then I went to stand up and collapsed on the floor..turned out I needed 6 pints of blood, which was inconvenient..lol.
Funny you saying about the vomiting and headaches ~ my sister had the same with her first (she also had an epidural). Her second birth was so quick she didn't have time for an epidural so she was well peed off!
I am so glad you got there in the end though..and the end result is gorgeous isn't she? if you don't mind sending me a pic..and you have time, please mail me at pippa_purple@ hotmail.com
Love to all 3 of you, nat xxxxxxxx

The stich has healed nicely and i can now sit down properly - which is a relief!!
The joys of pregnancy eh?! Not too sure about 3 more though....! lol.
