Things have settled down now so I think it was just my bodys initial reaction to the pregnancy. When I was weighed at my booking in appointment, my midwife said the weight gain I had had was perfectly normal. So long as you are eating healthily and sensibly, there is no reason for you to gain more weight than you and your baby needs, so dont worry and enjoy :)
I am 13 weeks pregnant and haven't put on any weight yet, however, because I have dropped my 'heavy' exercise in favour of gentle yoga and swimming my body shape has changed dramatically and I am not as toned as I was and my clothes are most definitely tighter. Muscle weighs more than fat, so I reckon I have put on weight but I have lost the muscle and gained the fat if that makes sense, so although the scales say I am the same my body tells me something different :-)
Hi Lorrymac
Im almost 15 weeks too but i have actually lost weight! Even though a little bump is starting to show now, im still being sick some days and off my food a little bit. Its funny because my sickness didnt even really start until after 11 weeks which is when its 'supposed' to get better! I guess everyone is different! Still im quite looking forward to a bit of weight gain...only on the tum though hopefully!

Hi Lorrymac
I gained a total of 30lbs during my pregnancy. I ate healthily and went to the gym up until 34 weeks, from the back I didn't look pregnant.
My baby weighed 8lb 9oz at birth which means that I gained 21.5lbs! My LO is now 10 weeks old and I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight, infact the health visitor has told me to up my calories cos I'm breastfeeding and need to eat more.
At the start of my preg I was concerned about weight-gain and came across www.fortunebaby.com which has an ideal weight-gain chart. I used as a rough guide to monitor my weight but didn't stress if I was slightly over or under one week.
So long as you're healthy, active and happy thats all that matters. Pregnancy isn't a time to diet or restrict what you're eating.
Good luck x
