Wife is stressing
Hi all,
This morning i woke up to my wife crying her eyes out, its our first and she is 16 weeks now and is a tad worried about the whole thing, she stresses out about it naturally. Over the last month her breasts have been hurting, this morning however she said she woke up and turned around to sleep on her stomach. She noticed her breasts were not hurting and said she felt "normal" as if not pregnant. She also said her stomach has shrunk and dosnt look very pregnant. Her first thought was the fetus has died, has anyone got any ideas or thoughts on what could be wrong (if theres anything wrong assuming)

(those first few months were pretty miserable). i understand how she feels though - even though the morning sickness was horrible, it was a constant reminder that you were pregnant and was comforting in a way. I'm sure your wife is fine, but if she's very worried she should see her midwife who will be able to check that everything is ok. good luck both of you xx
toatlly agree with Lorry, when I was having my first I was very much feeling pregnant (sickness cramps etc...) but after about 20 weeks I sort of came to myself and thats when the eating everything that didn't move fase kicked in and I had a lot more energy.
Now i'm 6 weeks again and feeling very moby dick, I'm looking forward to the fase of feeling normal!
I'm sure she is fine, but don't forget midwives are the bect to reassure and will be glad of a phone call!

Pedro, your wife is a very luck lady to have such a caring husband! I am 19 wks and still crying at anything and everything so she is not alone, in fact get her to come on here and we can cry together!
I understand how she feels as this is my first too and I have no idea what to expect. Every twinge or cramp and I am thinking is that normal, is something wrong. Best option as has been said is to speak to her midwife for reassurance.
Right, I am off for a good cry now!
