I know of someone who was told to spend time on all fours, say forexample, when watching a short tv programme. This created that tiny bit extra space for baby to move about in. She didnt this regulary and sure enough, baby turned in time.
Have you asked your midwife for ideas of things similar to do to help improve the chances of baby turning?

there is a procedure that some hospitals offer which involves them turning the baby by pushing on your bump, i have been told that this is often succesfull but can be uncomfortable for mother.
Im sure someone on here was talking about moving baby by laying on their back with their legs up a wall at right angles to them but i cant find it at mo.
Is this your first baby? subsequent births i think turn later and some have turned in last few days so dont give up thoughts of a vaginal birth just yet.

Hi amy, my friend had the same as you, they tried turning her son several times but he stayed in breech and eventually she was given a c-sec, but then she is a very small girl. Just so you know I was born in breech position and my mum said it wasn't traumatic or more painful than head first, so I'm sure, if it comes to it that you'll be fine
Hi Amylnb - and hello Redcrx - the reply you read was mine. My first son went into the breech position at a late date, and an old irish midwife gave me the tip you're referring to. She told me to lie on the bed with my legs up against the wall (at right angles to your body), for 20 minutes, three times a day. I felt a bit silly doing this, and because I gained 4 stone in weight and was absolutely huge, this was sometimes a bit uncomfortable! However, at the 11th hour, my baby turned, and was born in the normal way. I have no doubt at all that this was due to that tip - for which I was most grateful!!
