Thought i'd started last night, but no....
Morning ladies!
I thought i'd started last night and got very excited, but fell asleep and was gutted to wake this morning and realise that it had stopped. I know what my BH feels like now (well, i think so) - tightenings across my abdomen, and from what i've read, a proper contraction should be a period type pain low down with possibly some back pain... Well, last night i was lying in bed getting these low down period type pains and they weren't too painful but not subtle either. Was getting some back ache too although could have been how i was lying. and this happened quite a few times within the space of an hour and a half (yes, all the while, hubby is snoring next to me and i'm watching the clock go to 1.30am.....thankfully my loyal cat keeps me company!) Anyway, i've obviously drifted off becuase at 3.20 i was up for the loo and felt nothing.
I'm only one day over and i can feel the frustration really taking hold already. I've decided to get outside today (not been out for days) and tempt fate - going to mooch around the tesco extra (i'm weird, i like supermarkets!), buy something nice for tea and hope that being outside tempts fate... We'll see!
so could what i felt last night still have been BH or could i have started?? and can this behaviour go on for weeks??
morning Nat, Red, MBoo, Psychick, Warpig et al! xx

Awww, I think she must have her little bundle by now. Can't wait to find out what it is!
I still have no news apart from getting a whopping 11hour sleep marathon last night - I only just got up! No pains though and baby having a good fidget yesterday evening and this morning so I shouldn't think too much will be happeneing with me in the near future.
Have a good day everyone x

Lorraine must have baby by now, cant wait to hear the news and see the pics!!
I had a lot of low pressure yesterday morning but by the even it was all gone and i felt about as norml as you can at 37 weeks lol
Have been on and off the loo a lot so know things are happening but im expecting them to be slow.
No actual pains since Friday night either so maybe i shall just focus on being incuded at 42 weeks and not getting my hopes up lol xx

Hey Red, I, too, have resigned myself to the fact that I will be going well over (the latest I think will be around 17th April). That way if anything comes early then it is a bonus! I have my 40wk appt on Thursday though so should know more then.
I have general aches and pains down there, but nothing substantial and my tummy is back to normal again now, well, like you say, as normal as can be expected!
It's lovely and sunny here at the moment and I am debating whether to go out for a walk but it is due to change a rain all afternoon and I don't want to get caught in that! Have a good one whatever you are up to x

ive persuaded Mr CRX to take me to cambridge and shopping lol. The walk may do me good and he is off call this weekend so may as well take the chance to get out of town.
Little CRX is going to get a teddy or something for the baby and we shall find a present from the baby to him (will keep it hidden) when its born.
I was hoping id start yesterday as i was near mums and dads and my registered hospital but not back there now til wedsnesday. Ive got an appt with midwife Thursday and am hoping that perhaps baby may have started to engage at least
have a good day and I hope you dont get caught in the rain xx

Hi ladies, good to hear youre all well and keeping busy. Ive just enjoyed a lay in that lasted all morning lol When I heard Holly stirring this morning, I looked over into her basket to check on her and was greeted with a big beaming smile!
When we put her on her changing mat, she always looks up in the same area and we cant see what she could be looking at but it keeps her amused, she lays there smiling and cooing at whatever it is. We have tried distracting her but she always seems drawn to the same area. I was just telling my mum about it and she suggested Holly has a guardian angel and thats who shes looking at!
Oops, sorry, Im thread stealing lol
Wonder how long before we hear the good news from lorry? Has any of you ladies been getting anything for the past couple of hours? A weird question I know but I have my reasons for asking lol

Hey Psy :-)
Glad to hear Holly is feeling better (I saw the other thread you posted!). What a lovely thing for your mum to say :-)
I've been getting kicky kind of squirms in the ribs and period type pains down below, but nowt more spectacular than that I'm afraid. I have fresh pineapple in the fridge (no good in there though is it? Perhaps I should start eating some more) and a hot curry for tea tonight so fingers crossed!
What are your reasons for asking?
Please say you know a very reliable medium who has suggested that the initial "N" would be going into labour at approximately 3pm, the labour will short and fine, she will have a girl to prove her husband wrong and be back on the ward in time to watch Desperate Housewives, that she missed earlier in the week, tonight? Excellent.

You need 3 pineapples apparently natalie lol and yes, its no good sitting in the fridge!
I had, still got really, aching in my right lower side, just like I started getting as labour starting. I was just wondering if I was coming out in sympathy with anyone lol When my sister had my neice 11 years ago, it happened then. I woke up that morning with excrutiating pain that suddenyl stopped at 11:30 that morning. I knew my sister had had her baby. When I called my mum, she told me she had had her at 11:30 that morning! I never have forgiven her for putting me through that lol

Spooky - are you twins? I've heard that happening with twins. It's my parents that are having sympathy pains for me I think; mum is having excrutiating period pains that she hasn't had for years, and dad is tearful and "hormonal" with constant phone calls with "It only seemed five minutes ago when you were born", and he's worried, and anxious, etc etc. Honestly, you'd think it was them that was waddling round at 9months gone!
Maybe you're having sympathy pains for Lorry; she was last on here at 11am yesterday so if it was a slow or long labour, it could be plausible she's just going through it now. Especially as it may have stopped and started since then!

I gave up in Cambridge as I almost fainted in mothercare and couldn't walk more than 200yds without feeling very dizzy.
Psy. Little crx was always fascinated with the ceiling too and I think same thing, there is suggestion that babies pick up on such things. Even if its not true its a nice thought to hold.

Awww red, how are you feeling now? Hope you have your feet up and it's nothing too serious.
I just feel so tired; the past two nights I have had loads of sleep but I feel shattered! I know I shouldn't moan, and I should make the most of it now, but it's so frustrating getting tired through doing nothing.
I still haven't had any real updates today, and baby still wriggling around; I've just been reading about induction and things as I didn't really know what they did and I guess I should start looking now as my midwife will want to discuss it on Thurs. Have a good evening all, hope you feel better Red x

Evening all :)
No, we arent twins natalie and, at the time, we was living 200 miles apart! Thankfully I never got it again when she had her 2nd baby last year lol You are so lucky to be getting that much sleep. I was only able to get naps for the last two months of my pregnancy and got used to only having a few hours sleep each night. Which turns out to have been a good thing because Im not finding the broken sleep every night now a problem.
Hope you ladies are resting well this evening, wont be long before its your turns!
