Can't stop eating!
Hi,
I've only just passed the 8 wk mark (Friday) and the nausea kicked in last MOnday - feel really rubbish. The wierd thing is, the only thing that takes it away is eating! Isn't that a bit odd? Everything I have read about morning sickness mentions not being able to stomach food, But I find if I don't eat at least hourly the sickness comes on really strong.
It's not a problem while being at home over the weekend, but is going to be difficult to explain away at work this week!
Anyone else had this, the opposite of the usual effect of nausea? Is it a bit strange?!
Thanks - still gettting used to this changing body thing!!

Hi LuBlu.
I was just the same! It didnt take the nausea away for long but while I was eating it made me feel better! Trouble was that I seemed to be eating too much then and throwing it up! I'm 16 weeks this week and i'm still not over the sickness completely but the horrible constant nausea has gone. It just gets me randomly now! Try to just never let yourself get hungry although it is hard when you're at work. Take grapes or something that you can keep grazing on. Hope you feel better soon, mine started to fade about 12 weeks.

awww, I was exactly the same, couldn't stand the thought of eating but it was only thing that made it better. The only thing I could stomach most days was chocolate!! Luckily I didn't put on much weight, it cost a fortune tho!
Hang on in there, it does get better and its definately worth it in the end!!

I had exactly the same with my last pregnancy had to eat little and often to stop me feeling sick my gp told me it is to do with a drop in blood sugar that makes you feel sick. So eating little and often maintains an even blood sugar which keeps sickness at bay. It is the rapid drop of blood sugar that causes the nausea. Keep snacks in your draw at work ginger biscuits are great as the ginger also is well known for helping with nausea. But a pregnant girls gotta eat (very frequently if your anything like I was lol) so just snack well at work and I am sure they wont even notice hope the sickness passes soon for you it should do around week 12-16 as your hormone levels will even out x x
