Morning,

I have been suffering really bad pelvic/hip pain since Friday night/Saturday morning. It has nearly had me in tears a few times over the weekend.
Any ideas what this could be? Has anyone else experienced it? Could it be something to worry about?

Many thanks
Kate :o)

everyones description on pain is different. I would perhaps give your midwife a call but it could just be soft ligament pain as everything softens up or it could be SPD, a pelvic problem where the bones soften too much and spread, can be mild or require physio exercises etc.

I just read about SPD and PGP. I've booked an appt with doc this evo just to be on the safe side.
I'm usually very good with pain but this is really getting me down. It's constant through out the day and making work etc quite difficult :o(

See what the doc says i guess

Hey Puma - how did you get on? Hope all is ok. How far on are you now? x

Hi upsy,

Doc was totally useless!

I explained to her where the pain was, and how much it was affecting me and every day things.
She felt my pain and poked and prodded a few times and then said it was probably just a general pregnancy related thing and to go home and take a paracetamol. If this doesn't help then to speak to my midwife about it on Wednesday.

Took a tablet this morning and the pain is a little worse than yesterday, so its not touched it at all.
I hope the midwife helps a little more :o(
How did anybody know that puma was pregnant?

puma......which side of pelvis...right or left?

any nausea or vomiting?
any alteration in bowel habit?
are you or are you not pregnant?
She posted her question in " Pregnancy"
aniani....that doesn't make her pregnant........read some of the posts.
She is pregnant, squiddly.....

Read puma's post timed at 11.56am, when she went to the doc's.

:0)
Yogi....ah! got it.Now all we need is some answers from puma.
you really shouldnt have to put up with pain that makes you cry make an appointment with your doc/midwife if your cervix is really soft sometimes they can give you a support girdle but discuss this with them for more details x
Nice one, sqad :0)

Come on puma..........Sqad will help you if give him some answers.

( If she's quite late into pregnancy, could be just baby lying awkwardly causing hip pain........remember mrs bear had that on at least one of our four children.).........................if early in pregnancy needs to have it further investigated.

Off to lunch.....see ya squiddly.....have a good day and sort this piggin' weather out!!

Hi and bye zzxxee xxx
hi yogi we seem to be like 2 passing ships this week lol xxxxx

Hellloooooo,

Sorry i have not replied............at all - how rude of me :o(
I dont have comp access at home so can only jump on here at work and i was off most of last week with this pelvic pain.

I saw my midwife on weds and it turns out I do have SPD - well done red :o)
She was none too pleased about the lack of help from my GP. She put through a prescription request for co-dydramol but my GP has refused it. Not too sure why but I read on the net that it can cause breathings probs for small man in later pregnancy and as i'm now 28 weeks I'm guessing thats the reason.
She's referred me for physio, they will send me a letter soon with the date of my first appt but apparently they have a rather long waiting list so i've just got to try and deal with it until then :o(
So depressing. I feel really low and sorry for myself - not like me at all.

Sqad I'm sure you have replied to me before about pregnancy bits, as well as many other posts - forgotten me!!! now i'm feeling even more sorry for myself :o(
