nose bleeds?
13 Answers
never been a nose bleeder in the past then all of a sudden when I moved to this new build house, i find I can't catch my breath some of the time and I get blood coming from my nose not a full blown nose bleed but when I blow it, or a small dribble but I mainly feel it in my nose and taste the blood in my mouth. The other morning it some how blew up and went all over the shower and looked a lot because of the water.
I have no historical breathing issues except the mould in the previous property led to lots of cold/flu like symptoms which was put down to a mould allergy and I was given a steroid nasal inhaler, But after my first inhaler the symptoms dropped off and I didn't like the abuse the steroids so I stopped taking it.
This house is on a hill over looking the sea and it's the tops floor I esp seem to struggle to breath in. It may be over dry or not enough air? There is a full house ventilation system that pulls in air from outside and sucks air out, I the kitchen where I sometime struggle in has two 'out' vents to one 'in' vent is there a chance the air is just limited? Also lots of builders dust, which should be all gone now.
Generally though I just wanted to put it out there asking about nose bleeds because this is new to me, and on the tv it always shows a sudden onset of a nose bleed being a suggestion the person is seriously ill , But this cannot be the case.
Any thoughts...

I went to the doctor and he found that I'd acquired an infection in my nasal tissue. He prescribed a cream to rub up my nose and, within days, the problem was fixed.
So my first point is that the sudden onset of nosebleeds doesn't necessarily mean that you're seriously ill!
Equally I'm not trying to rule out the possibility of environmental factors, within your house, contributing to your problem. But I am suggesting that getting your GP to shine his otoscope up your nose ought to be the first thing that you need to do.

I used to suffer with `Warfarin nasal hemorrhages` and spent several days in hospital with doctors trying different methods like `packing the nasal with yards of lint`, inserting a balloon attached to a syringe (called a Brighton Ballon) and inflating it hard against the artery`s to suppress the bleeding, and finally putting me out and operating down the throat and up into nasal compartment. Sorted, only minor bleeds since,..thank gawd. So a trickle is nothing.
